Food we ordered didn't disappoint. Cocktails were also very good!
Food server was great and also very attentive. Restaurant was very clean and the price is very good for the food we got. I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authenticity. Great food!

We stumbled upon Testal, a fancy restaurant hidden in the middle of the CDMX business district. My favorite dish was the rice and plantain mole - a deep, slightly sweet mole sauce poured over fried rice with the perfect mix of sweet, salty, both crispy and soft. The fish tacos were also a hit, with briny fish mixed with bright, fresh vegetables in a soft taco. The meal hit the spot for our group, and there were plenty more items on the menu that we wanted to try, but there wasn't any more room in our bellies! If you're traveling through CDMX, give Testal a try!

Amazing - first impression of Mexico City cuisine. Husband found this place just around the corner from our accommodation. No reservation necessary for a late Friday evening dinner (8:30pm). We were seated right away.

Service fantastic. They spoke broken English but enough for us to communicate, and our friend with his broken Spanish to make it seamless. They were great about making recommendations, kept the table clear when necessary, and overall made us feel right at home.

Food was amazing...

Started with the Steak and Bone Marrow Tacos...omfg, out of this world. Sucking pig sandwich was also very yummy - I'd give that a solid 5/5.

Next came my Chile poblano with Steak and the Lamb deep Fried tacos, both incredibly delicious. They offered corn tortillas to accompany the Chile poblano dish which I highly recommend doing.

The service was excellent but the food was sub-par. The lettuce tasted old, the octopus was fishy and tough and the screens all over the restaurant distracted from the ambiance. The presentation is on point so that pictures look good, but the food doesn't taste good. The salsa was not enjoyable. Above all, it was expensive for not that great of food. Unfortunately, I don't write reviews very often, but I felt I needed to on this restaurant to offset as I think that the current rating is way too high.

We wanted to have a special dining experie ce for lunch today and we found this reataurant after doing a search online. The reataurant is conveniently located to the hotel we are ataying at so it made it easy to walk here. The restaurant was fairly busy when we got there, and we were greeted immediately and offered a nice table near the front. My husband decied that he would try somethig completely new, and he went for the pulpo adobado a las brasas,. It was grilled octopus that included a house salad and potato wedges. I wasn't quite so daring and I ordered the borrego Testal and it consisted of barbeque style lamb meat. He gave a big thumbs up for the octopus, and I thought my entre was even better! This place is definitely upscale n my view, and every part of the dining experience was well thought out. Inluding the fine tableware and table cloths. We both really enjoyed it!

The restaurant is located in Chinatown close to the historic area. It's not very busy when we visited for a late Friday dinner. There are good variety to choose from at a decent price. All the food we ordered are great.

This place is amazing and truly authentic Mexican food. Customer service was awesome. Great place for a wonderful Birria burrito or Carne Asada burrito.

Very polite staff. We were a group of girls and needed to go to the bathroom and they ask no questions and allow us to use. While waiting there. I saw the menus and the foods looked amazing. We end up taking few shots there and enjoy the beautiful ambience

Ordered food to go on my first day in Mexico City. Service was good, food tasted great. Had a glass of wine while I waited and enjoyed it all.

I've never had a healthy salad taste so good. The service is great, the food is top notch and the prices are remarkably affordable. I would expect to pay at least twice as much as we did. Love it!
